About Our Business
Manual Orthopaedics and Sports Solutions Inc. (M.O.S.S.I.) A clinician
owned private company that was born out of the vision that Physical Therapy practice
has to become independent and self determined towards the future, free of influence
by large profit driven corporate entities as well as other professions that only utilize
the physical therapy as a revenue source.
For us to achieve this vision it is evident that Physical Therapy as a profession will
need to provide the highest quality of care and demonstrate a concrete foundation of
the science that we practice. We need to demonstrate and prove the interventions that
we provide are effective and efficient. As the profession moves towards a new
direction as Doctors of Physical Therapy, we need to help our colleagues towards a
common goal by sharing the skills and knowledge that we possess for the common
good of the patients that we help and serve.
Manual Orthopaedic and Sports Solutions Inc. Or M.O.S.S.I. was formed in
2004 by Dr. Simeon Lao and his wife Margie Lao both physical therapists to provide
the high quality patient care and treatment. A practice that is based on effective
outcomes, a reasonable time table at a fair cost. Definitely NOT a comparison to
modality based generic physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, pain medications and
other non evidenced based treatments.
It is the belief at MOSSI that patients will be wiser consumers as in other industries,
and will seek out the best for their money's worth as insurances and employers shift
more of the cost to them.

Simeon Lao PT, DPT, MTC, CFC, CFCE has been in practice now
for 18 years. He was awarded his Doctor of Physical Degree from
the University of St. Augustine, St. Augustine Florida. He received
his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Emilio Aguinaldo
College Manila, Philippines. He has specialized in Manual
Orthopaedics and attained certification from the University of St.
Augustine in Manipulative Therapy as well as in the area of
Craniofacial disorders under Professor Mariano Rocabado.
Additional areas of specialization include Industrial Rehabilitation
and Functional Capacity Evaluation from the Blankenship
Corporation, Human Performance Center in Macon Georgia.
Dr. Lao has predominantly been involved in out patient
orthopaedics and has overseen the start up and development of four
out patient clinics. He initially started in New Orleans Louisiana
and eventually moved to Tampa Fl.
He is currently practicing in Tampa Florida in an orthopaedic
physical therapy clinic
